Tressie's Story

My name is Tressie and on June 14th, 2002 I had a full tummy tuck, breast lift (on right side) breast augmentation and liposuction to hips, flanks, back and inner/outer thighs. My surgery was performed in the hospital and took my doctor over nine hours.  I stayed one night in the hospital but would have preferred to come home the day of my surgery.

The next day I was somewhat sore but not really in any pain it was more of an overworked ab pain and only when I got up or down from a chair. I think my breasts were more sore that anything as my plastic surgeon went under the muscle. I stopped taking pain meds during the day on day two and stopped completely by day four. On day four I went with my sons to eat lunch at a restaurant. That was the craziest I think that anyone that saw me must have thought I was some wild woman that had escaped from the asylum. Have to imagine that I'm in these overalls that are several sizes too large with my drains tucked underneath, I looked just peachy!!!! It's strange because most people are larger after their tummy tucks but I was immediately smaller, not a lot, but I was smaller. 

On day seven I went to my plastic surgeon to have my drains removed but no such luck however he did remove the stitches. I went back on day ten and he removed the drains it was somewhat painful but only lasted about ten seconds so its not too bad. I went back to work within two weeks, I just wore my binder under my clothes, of course, everyone at work knew, I tell everyone. After my drains were removed I did develop a seroma which meant that my plastic surgeon had to aspirate me, there is absolutely no pain in being aspirated, just the indignity of having you plastic surgeon kneeling in front of you poking you with a needle and making small talk. (LOL!!!!)

I started endermologie on week five can't say that I noticed a huge difference yet but I'm only seven weeks at this point and still have eight more sessions of endermologie to go. I am currently seven weeks post-op I went from a size 13/14 to a size 9/10 but more importantly I love my new body, I can wear anything. I no longer have that fat roll on the side that hung over low rider jeans. I love what my plastic surgeon has done to my body, what a thousand crunches could not accomplish he accomplished in nine hours.
